Launch Week is the starting place for Greenhouse mission staff, church planters, catechists, interns, regional leaders, friends & partners. Those new to Greenhouse gather to meet our leaders and learn how we train leaders, multiply congregations, and empower movements—following the Holy Spirit for the spontaneous expansion of the church. Greenhouse Movement offers three Launch Weeks each year (January, May, September). Launch Weeks are the onboarding training weeks for those who have completed their application process and have been hired as new Mission Staff. New Mission Staff usually begin employment this week and learn how to raise support using Ministry Partner Development. The Launch Week begins at 9:30am (CST) on Saturday and ends by 5pm (CST) on the following Friday. Launch Weeks are hosted in Chicago, the home of Greenhouse Movement. The application deadline is always 3 months prior to the next available Launch Week. After starting the application process, several forms will be sent to the applicant for completion. An interview will be scheduled with the potential supervisor, the applicant, and one of the Greenhouse Executive Pastors. Once an offer letter has been sent and accepted, the applicant then registers for the Launch Week and purchases plane tickets.
The Launch Week schedule includes prayer and worship, introduction to Greenhouse values, connection time with key leaders, storytelling history, training sessions on ministry skills, and visiting Chicagoland congregations set in urban, campus, Latino, and black communities. Launch Week is only for those who have completed our application and interview process.
The next Launch Week is May 22 – 29, 2021 in Chicago.
The application deadline is February 22, 2021.
