Launch Week is the starting place for Greenhouse mission staff, church planters, catechists, interns, regional leaders, friends & partners. Gather to meet Greenhouse influencers and learn how we train leaders, multiply congregations, and empower movements—following the Holy Spirit for the spontaneous expansion of the church.
The Launch Week schedule includes prayer and worship, introduction to Greenhouse values, connection time with key leaders, storytelling history, training sessions on ministry skills, and visiting Chicagoland congregations set in urban, campus, Latino, and black communities.
Launch Weekend and Launch Week
Tracks and schedule are related to your Greenhouse role: the shorter “Launch Weekend” is the right introduction for interested leaders while the full 6-days includes training for those raising financial support as a Greenhouse employed mission staff or church planter.
What is MPD?
Ministry Partner Development is the core process Greenhouse mission staff use to raise funds for salary and ministry expenses. Mission Staff learn to share a clear, concise, and compelling story that includes a personal testimony, the needs of a mission field, the gospel, and a direct ask for partnership.
MPD training is taught by mission staff who have raised funds themselves and is a key part of the launch week.
Should I come to launch week?
Launch week is required for those joining Greenhouse mission staff. Mission staff complete an employment application process and typically begin their employment at launch week.
The launch weekend is highly recommended for new Greenhouse members and mission partners, connecting leaders, and friends. However, before making plans to travel to a launch week, you’ll want to connect with us first:
- Learn about Greenhouse values, approaches, leadership philosophy (check out email, web, or conference calls)
- Speak personally with a Greenhouse mobilizer to see if this is the next step for you or your team.
