Hispanic Ministry in Chicago is made up of Caminemos Juntos, a movement connecting Anglican churches in the Americas, to equip leaders, plant new churches, and strengthen existing churches for multiplication. Aviva Church is an Anglican church in the western suburbs of Chicago, and Hispanic ministry is starting in several Chicago churches. Their work is vital to the mission field and church multiplication work here and abroad. There are two full time staff serving as coordinators and leaders: Sebastian Vargas with his wife Daniela and their three children, and Marco Guzmán with his wife Silvia and their three children.

Sebastian & Daniela Vargas with their beautiful family of three children are called to serve and spread the gospel. Sebastian is the Coordinator of Caminemos Juntos (Let’s Walk Together), a movement that unites the Anglican churches within North and South America to equip leaders, plant new churches, and strengthen existing churches. Daniela serves at Building Blocks, a Christian daycare center supporting a bilingual community in Chicagoland. As a family, they serve Christ Tabernacle church, an African American church that has a strong Hispanic neighborhood. They serve with outreach and teaching to Latinos within the impoverished neighborhood of Austin on the west side of Chicago. They recently led a summer camp where 25 children received the Lord. They are helping to translate all of our training for church leaders into Spanish to raise up leaders in the Hispanic church.

Sebastián y Daniela Vargas con su hermosa familia de tres hijos están llamados a servir y difundir el evangelio. Sebastián es el Coordinador de Caminemos Juntos (Let’s Walk Together), un movimiento que une a las iglesias anglicanas en América del Norte y del Sur para equipar líderes, plantar nuevas iglesias y fortalecer iglesias existentes. Daniela trabaja en Building Blocks, una guardería cristiana que apoya a una comunidad bilingüe en el área de Chicago. Como familia, sirven a la iglesia Christ Tabernacle, una iglesia afroamericana que tiene un fuerte vecindario hispano. Sirven con alcance misional y enseñanza a latinos dentro del empobrecido vecindario de Austin en el lado oeste de Chicago. Marco and Silvia Guzmán, originally from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, have three talented daughters. God called them to church planting in 2012. They serve three churches in the Latino community, Aviva Angican Church in Chicago’s western suburbs, a church in the neighborhood of Little Village in the city of Chicago, and The Bridge Church in Santa Rosa, CA. As pastors they love to connect with people and participate in their spiritual growth, and work towards the mission to reach, preach and make disciples for Christ within the Latino community in the USA.They believe that if an individual is transformed, they transform their family, which transforms the church, which transforms their community, which finally transforms the world.

Marco y Silvia Guzmán, originarios de Puerto Vallarta, México, tienen tres talentosas hijas. Dios los llamó a la plantación de iglesias en 2012. Sirven a tres iglesias en la comunidad latina, la Iglesia Anglicana Aviva (Aviva Anglican Church) en los suburbios del oeste de Chicago, Iglesia Anglicana Aviva (Aviva Anglican Church) en el vecindario de Little Village en la ciudad de Chicago y The Bridge Church en Santa Rosa, CA.
