Father Rand hails originally from Lookout Mountain, Tennessee. He came north to attend Wheaton College and has lived in the Chicago area for the past four decades. He holds a double BA in History and Biblical Studies from Wheaton, and a Master of Divinity summa cum laude from Northern Seminary. He was a founding member of the Fellowship of Contemporary Christian Ministries (forerunner to today’s CCM) and was a Christian recording artist in the 1970’s during the Jesus Revolution. He did refugee work with Food for the Hungry International (FHI) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) among the Khmer Rouge along the Thai-Cambodian border (1979-1980). He served for more than a decade with Leanne Payne’s Pastoral Care Ministries (PCM) in both the U.S. and the U.K.
Today he is a priest in the Anglican Church of North America (ACNA), serving a new church plant, Christ Our Light Anglican Church, along with Light of Christ Anglican Church in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Church of the Resurrection in Wheaton, Illinois.
